Daily Titan Halloween Issue

For the 2013 Halloween Issue, the Daily Titan wanted to do something special for the front cover. I pitched this idea where we dress up our school mascot, Tuffy the elephant, in different costumes. Then we would have readers vote on which costume they like, which resulted in a surprisingly popular response. It would win the Daily Titan first place for both Newspaper Cover Design and Illustration in the SSND Mizzou Newspaper awards. 
 

I designed over a dozen costumes for Tuffy. From left to right I did Michael Jackson, Edward Sissorhands, Walter White, Frank N. Furter, Batman, Cartman, Pikachu, Buzz Lightyear, Ziggy Stardust, Gandalf, Mildred Garcia (the president of our college), Morticia Addams, Doctor Who, Spock, Khal Drogo from Game of Thrones, the Fox from 'What Does the Fox Say' music video.
